Join our recycling program (local opportunity!)
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can help us turn trash into treasure for the children of Uganda!
We gather CRV bottles and cans and convert them into cash to help sponsor students of Greater Vision Academy. Our first delivery was enough to sponsor one child for an entire month, and the program has been growing steadily ever since.
This is your opportunity to help clean up our environment and also help provide nutrition, education, and healthcare for children in Uganda!

Apply for a volunteer role
We have several ongoing volunteer roles to fill. These roles are more formal, and the ideal candidate will be available to work with us on a regular basis.
Financial Director (3-6 hours per month, remote)
As Financial Director, you’ll manage GVU’s finances in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer to keep the organization on track towards its financial goals and responsibilities.
Fundraising and PR manager (2-3 hours per week, remote)
In this role, you’ll collaborate with our Executive Director, Chief of Operations, and other staff members to play a critical role in raising awareness and funds for the organization.
Online Marketing Manager (2-3 hours per week, remote)
As Online Marketing Manager, you will work with our leadership team to help manage social media channels, maintain our website, and create and implement an email/SMS strategy.
